Academic Counseling
Sometimes it can be hard to see the forest for the trees. Understanding the relationship between academic discipline and the world beyond not only effectively motivates students, it encourages thoughtfulness in everything from selecting classes to choosing extracurriculars. As academic counselors, we help students acquire the attitudes, knowledge, and skills that promote competent learning so they are prepared for a wide range of substantial post-secondary options.
Recommended Course Load
A minimum of six (6) courses are required per semester. JOA Scholars have specific course requirements each year and should consult with the Director of the JOA Society of Scholars and Counseling to confirm that they are complying with all criteria of the program.
