Black Student Union

The main goal of the Black Student Union (BSU) is to foster unity by seeking to educate, to motivate the members to realize their call to be among the successful and to have an opportunity to discuss and search for solutions to current challenges.

The BSU’s activities, lectures and projects all center around the preservation of the dignity of the human person, protection of human rights and testimonials of people who represent the values of the Oakland Catholic’s Black Student Union. The club's main goals are to educate, integrate, and challenge.

The Black Student Union of Oakland Catholic High School originated in the spring of 1997 and restructured in the fall of 2015 and again in the summer of 2020.

The BSU is open to all students in the Oakland Catholic student body.
