Data Jam

Data Jam provides students with an exciting opportunity to explore the growing field of data science and analytics through competitive, hands-on learning.

They have the opportunity to see big data in action through field trips, training on data analysis and data visualization, and compete against other high schools in presenting their own data studies.

Data Jam competitions take place throughout the year, and Oakland Catholic High School was proud to have a team place third in the Spring 2016 competition. Students also interact with local universities and companies that work with 'big data' including; IBM, Google, UPMC and the Pittsburgh Penguins.
