Girls of Steel

Girls of Steel is an all-female regional robotics team formed and run exclusively by Carnegie Mellon University. Over the years, Oakland Catholic High School has formed a close affiliation with the group. The mission of Girls of Steel is to encourage young women in STEM fields through success in robotics.

The team competes in robotics competitions across the region over the course of the season. Every year students from Oakland Catholic apply for a coveted spot on the 50 person roster. This year, 12 OC students are on the team.
