Our Program

Philosophy

At Oakland Catholic, our robust athletic program perfectly complements our students' academic achievements. Apart from physical endurance, OC's student-athletes build confidence, resilience, and leadership skills. Through training and competition, they learn how to fully commit to themselves and to their teams, and develop a lifelong appreciation for hard work and collaboration. While their discipline is overtly rewarded on the fields and courts, it also translates into their studies and relationships.

With eighteen sports to choose from, Oakland Catholic gives all our students the opportunity to excel outside the classroom. From basketball, to golf, ultimate frisbee to lacrosse, each sport fosters individual and team growth in a highly-supportive, encouraging environment. This model has proven itself very effective: our students have won everything from Sectional, WPIAL and State titles to full athletic scholarships and Olympic gold medals.

As a graduate of Oakland Catholic and a former athlete, I experienced our athletic program's ability to change lives firsthand. The lessons and friendships I gained from my four years as an OC student-athlete are invaluable. Whether your goal is to enhance your skills and compete beyond high school or just make friends and have fun, we are committed to helping all future Eagles reach their goals at Oakland Catholic!
