The Value of Oakland Catholic
Attending Oakland Catholic High School is an investment in your daughter's future. We are committed to providing a value-based educational experience that empowers young women to become intelligent, competent, and globally conscious agents of change.
We are confident that your daughter will find her path, her passion, and her leadership potential while receiving a quality college preparatory education. Oakland Catholic is committed to working with families to provide financial assistance so that their daughter can earn a World Class Education.
The greatest lesson I learned at OC is the importance of hard work, determination, and perseverance while trusting in your faith. That combination leads to endless opportunities. Meredith McDonough, OCHS '01
Last year Oakland Catholic awarded $1 million in financial aid to meet 40-50% of a family's need.
Last year's graduating Seniors earned over $13 million in college scholarships and grants.
Oakland Catholic High School offers an array of scholarship opportunities, both merit and need-based.
All scholarships are contingent upon acceptance to Oakland Catholic High School; participation in our Scholarship Entrance Exam is required for merit scholarship awards. Recipients of merit scholarships will be notified with their acceptance packet. Those receiving named scholarships or scholarships that require a demonstration of financial need will receive notice in late April/early May with the Tuition & Financial Aid Award Statement. The criteria for scholarship eligibility differs from one scholarship to the next.
I believe that Oakland Catholic provides the best community in which my daughter's needs and personal experience are considered important.Debbie Stiles, parent
Approximately 40% of our students receive some level of financial assistance. The Board of Directors, the President, and the Advancement Office are committed to increasing the amount of available tuition assistance. As a result of this commitment, Oakland Catholic High School has increased its financial assistance annually for the last several years and is now able to meet 50-60% of a student's need. Financial aid packages are built from a variety of sources - small grants from the Bishop's Education Fund, EITC/OSTC funds procured by Oakland Catholic, scholarships, and internal aid from the school's annual budget.
Our goal is to ensure the accessibility of an Oakland Catholic educational experience for young women from all walks of life.
To be considered for financial assistance, the parent/guardian must complete the FACTS Grant & Aid Application made available to all registered families via their Oakland Catholic FACTS Tuition Management Account. An email with information on how to apply is typically sent to all newly registered and continuing families in early February. The official deadline for the financial aid application is March 31; applications posted after the deadline are processed as quickly as possible, but financial aid resources become more limited as we approach the next school year. Upon review of the application, FACTS provides a confidential need analysis report to the Business Office of Oakland Catholic High School. The need analysis report will determine the amount of aid available to the OC student from all sources, including the Bishop's Education Fund if applicable. Tuition & Financial Aid Award Statements will be mailed to families in late April/early May.
