BAM! Because Academics Matter is an academic enrichment program built around individual workshops focused on various concentrations. Learn new things, make new friends and meet OC faculty! Come explore, discover, and grow with us at one of our Saturday BAM! Because Academics Matter workshops.
FOR: Girls currently in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade
WHEN: Saturday sessions run from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. on the dates below.
COST: Cost is $30 per session. Sign up for all 4 for a discounted rate of $100.

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14: ITALIAN FAIRYTALES!
Join this interactive session where students will learn about Italian fairy tales and create and design a book of their own.
SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 11: CHRISTMAS CLAY WORKSHOP
Join us to create keepsake ornaments and Christmas clay projects to keep or give as gifts. (Projects will be fire glazed and ready approximately 2 weeks after the workshop for pickup.)
SATURDAY MARCH, 9:
STEM-BASED PROJECT!
Spend the morning in the Innovation Lab using the laser engraver, jig saw, 3D printer and more. Learn the engineering design process involved in making your own unique project that you will take home that day.
SATURDAY, APRIL 13: ELECTRICITY,
MAGNETISM, AND CIRCUITS!
Design and create your own circuit board, learn to program using an Arduino while experimenting with DC motors, LEDs, resistors, and buzzers to discover the fundamental laws of physics when dealing with electricity and magnetism.
