Welcome, Class of 2029!

Last Saturday, Oakland Catholic High School was filled with joy, laughter, and anticipation as we warmly welcomed the Class of 2029 and their families into our vibrant community. The night began with a beautiful and reverent Mass, offering a meaningful opportunity for prayer, reflection, and connection as our newest students prepared to embark on their high school journey.

Following the liturgy, students and families gathered for a delightful ice cream social—an Oakland Catholic tradition that celebrates the sweet beginning of a new chapter. It was a time for new friendships to begin, for families to meet one another, and for our community to surround the incoming class with a spirit of joy and belonging.

The evening was made even more special with inspiring remarks from President Mrs. Kelly Lazzara and a heartfelt welcome from our new Principal, Mrs. Karen Kolenik. Both leaders shared their excitement for the future of this remarkable group of young women, offering words of encouragement, support, and confidence in the path that lies ahead.

We are truly thrilled to welcome such a bright, enthusiastic, and promising group of students into the OC sisterhood. The Class of 2029 is already shining with potential, spirit, and purpose—and we can’t wait to walk alongside them as they grow into leaders of faith, scholarship, and service.

Here’s to the beginning of an extraordinary journey. Welcome home, Class of 2029!
