Honoring a Legacy: Room J102 Dedicated to Mr. Dennis DeFilippo

Mr. Dennis DeFilippo, who began teaching at Oakland Catholic when the school opened in 1989, retired this past June after an extraordinary 51 years in Catholic education. In recognition of his decades of service, Room J102 — the very classroom where he inspired countless students — has been dedicated in his honor. A commemorative plaque now stands as a lasting tribute to his passion, dedication, and profound influence on generations of learners. The unveiling ceremony was a heartfelt celebration, with Mr. DeFilippo joined by his family, former and current faculty, and administrators, all gathered to honor a true Oakland Catholic legend. We extend our deepest gratitude to Mr. DeFilippo for his lifelong commitment to Catholic education and the OC community!
