On Tuesday, February 20th, 8th grade students from Sacred Heart Elementary School were on campus working with OC students and Art Teacher, Mrs. Meg Koroly.
Students worked on painting individual butterflies to represent the 1.5 million children killed during the Holocaust. Each student was given a biography card of a child and they painted their own personal butterfly in memory of that child. Each butterfly will be fired in our kiln to emerge renewed, glazed and shiny, ready for display. Sacred Heart will be making the butterflies a permanent fixture to display in their school for years to come.
