Congratulations to sophomore Hannah Hoffman for her 2nd place finish in the Lincoln-Douglas debate category and to the sophomore policy team of Bernadette Azar and Olivia Smathers who also came in 2nd at the District Tournament this past Saturday at Moon High School. Their success at this event qualifies them for the State Competition in mid-March, marking the first time in recent history that OC debaters have been eligible for this challenge! Only three individuals in the Lincoln-Douglas debate category advance to represent the entire district at states, and only two teams for policy debate. That the three OC students advancing are sophomores is all the more impressive.
