Congratulations to OC Senior Marigrace Murphy on her selection as Miss Smiling Irish Eyes 2023! We also congratulate Aibreann Shovlin, 2023 Miss Smiling Irish Eyes Court Maiden. Marigrace and Aibreann were selected because they both "exhibit outstanding representation in the Irish Community of Pittsburgh by demonstrating excellent moral character, ethical ideals, and poise." Marigrace and Aibreann will participate in various festivities held the week of March 3rd and at the St. Patrick's Day Parade on Saturday, March 11th. 

• Friday, March 3rd - Marigrace and Aibreann attended the 2023 Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade “Button Party.'' This is the annual fundraising event for Pittsburgh’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade.
• Tuesday, March 7th - Marigrace and Aibreann attended the "Presentation of Miss Smiling Irish Eyes and Court" to Pittsburgh City Council held at the Pittsburgh City Council Building. At this event, they were presented with a cape and sash to wear during the presentation and parade and met Committee Members. Later that day, they were presented certificates by County Council Members. Watch the presentation here! 
• Friday, March 10th - Big day for Marigrace and her court as they are the main event at the "Presentation and Crowning of Miss Smiling Irish Eyes" by Congressman Mike Doyle.
• Saturday, March 11th - Watch for Marigrace and Aibreann in the Pittsburgh St. Patrick's Day Parade!
