Story Details
Congratulations to art instructor, Megan Koroly, on officially receiving her Golden Apple Award for excellence in teaching from the Diocese of Pittsburgh! Although her achievement was announced in the summer of 2020, Covid delayed the delivery of her tangible award until recently. Director of Catholic Schools Michelle Peduto presented Mrs. Koroly with her Golden Apple in her classroom with, fittingly, her own beautiful artwork in the background.
Megan Koroly teaches Studio Art at Oakland Catholic. She earned her bachelor's degree from Carlow University and her master's equivalency through graduate classes at Youngstown State University and Carlow University. She has had extensive experience teaching in both public and Catholic schools in the area, and has taught art to students ranging from early childhood to adult. In addition, she is the moderator of the OC Art Club.
"The best thing about Oakland Catholic is the feeling of community among the students and the teachers." -Mrs. Koroly
