On September 8th, OC students participated in a safety presentation by Community Resource Officer Victoria Butch and her K9 partner Zane of Pittsburgh Bureau of Police's Community Engagement Office, Chief Aaron Lauth of the Carnegie Mellon University Police Department, and Mr. Rich Mader to promote self-awareness and training in the event of an emergency.  Afterward, the student body, faculty, and staff participated in a school safety drill using the BluePoint system and a controlled evacuation observed by Pittsburgh Public Safety and the Diocese of Pittsburgh.  OC would like to thank the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police, Pittsburgh Bureau of Fire, Pittsburgh Bureau of EMS, CMU Police Department, and Pittsburgh Office of Emergency Management for their assistance and dedication in promoting safe learning for our students.
