When you teach at Oakland Catholic, it's nearly impossible not to take advantage of the diverse array of higher education institutions that call themselves neighbors. Carnegie Mellon, for one, is a mere half-mile walk away. Recently, art teacher Megan Koroly made the most of this unique relationship, escorting her AP Art & Design students to the CMU Art Department for a day of exploration.
Although best known for its innovations in robotics, CMU's commitment to the arts proved equally impressive. OC's students had a fantastic morning immersing themselves in the space and delving into different aspects of the program. Led by Mark Cato, Assistant Head of Academic Affairs, the group enjoyed a private presentation and tour of the school. All were appreciative of this memorable experience!
