Black History Month Assembly

On Friday, February 23rd the BSU Executive Board (Olivia Warren-President, Alaya Hughes-Vice President, Alonie Ashley-Secretary, Kennedy Dalton-Treasurer, Marionna Logan-Public Relations coordinator), senior class representative Carlee Freeman, and junior class representative Camille Gilbert of the Black Student Union brought the OC School Community together to celebrate Black History Month and the many contributions of African Americans throughout history. This year's Keynote Speaker, WPXI-TV News Anchor Lisa Sylvester addressed the student body on secrets to success when facing adversity and the importance of being kind. Thank you to Mrs. Richardson, Ms. Doyle and Fr. Matthew for your help organizing such a great assembly!
