Gianna Rich, OCHS’24 has something special to cheer about!  Gianna was chosen to represent the area as a cheerleader at the Big 33 Football Classic Game to be held on Sunday, May 28th.

The Big 33 Football Classic features the top football players from Pennsylvania going head-to-head with Maryland’s finest 33 players. The Big 33 Classic has long been known as “The Super Bowl of High School Football.”  The game features the top football players and cheerleaders in Pennsylvania and Maryland.

In order to be selected as a cheerleader at Big 33, Gianna had to meet the necessary requirements and try-out in Mechanicburg, PA.  The requirements included strong tumbling and motion technique and the ability to execute elite stunts as a flyer.  In addition, Gianna needed to meet the necessary GPA requirements.

Gianna is a natural born leader, ambitious and puts in the necessary hard-work to excel both in the classroom and on the mat.  She is excited to represent Oakland Catholic and Western Pennsylvanisa and hopes that this opportunity will launch her to cheer in college. Congratulations, Gianna!
