AHN Open Heart Surgery

"Last Thursday, I alongside eleven other members of the Anatomy Club had the opportunity to observe an open heart surgery at AHN General Hospital. While there, we were able to engage with various medical professionals who shared insights on their roles within the surgery. Watching the procedure was truly enriching as we were walked through each step of the procedure. This helped us gain a deeper understanding of the reasons behind the actions and their expected outcomes. As a student aspiring to enter the medical field, this experience reaffirmed my career goals. I'm thankful for the diverse opportunities available at Oakland Catholic and I look forward to more experiences like this for the future!" - Emma Winkler, OCHS'25
