Dear Oakland Catholic Families,
The Parent Teacher Guild at Oakland Catholic is actively involved in supporting and promoting the school. Families join the PTG at the start of each year for a fee of ten dollars per family; these dues cover the expense of printing the OC Family Directory and additional activities that support the OC community. The Executive Board is comprised of parents elected to two-year positions, a faculty representative, and the administration. The PTG Board coordinates publication and distribution of the family directory and serves as an umbrella operation for the numerous school activities that require substantial parental support. Parents can volunteer their time, treasure, and talent via the “Commitment of Support” sent out in the spring and they annually turn out in droves to create the parent newsletter, organize the auction, host Pot-Luck dinners, assist with the Magazine Drive, coordinate Dance Marathon, promote the school, serve as substitute teachers, act as office aides, and fulfill a myriad of other roles. Oakland Catholic does so much for our girls, we are more than happy to give back. We love welcoming new members to our community and are anxious to get you involved too!
