Construction
Since our groundbreaking on October 28, 2003 we have completed phase one of our Capital Campaign with the construction of Donahue Pavilion – our athletic, dining, and fine arts complex – which was dedicated on September 14, 2004.
The goal of this first phase was to provide something for every student who attends Oakland Catholic by redesigning the cafeteria into a dining room to meet the needs of today’s student, construct a gymnasium of a size more complementary to our outstanding athletic programs, and construction of an art studio for aspiring artists. With phase one completed, and our initial goal accomplished, we now turn our attention to the second phase of our project. Construction of a chapel and refurbishing of the main school building will include a state-of-the-art library with a resource room, a publications area with computer technology, science labs, and seminar rooms. This is an exciting time for all of us who are committed to Oakland Catholic High School and its mission.
We look towards the future with enthusiasm and newfound vitality. This project tells the whole community that Oakland Catholic High School is a thriving and vibrant community of faith and excellence that is “Creating the Leaders of Tomorrow”.
From academics to extracurricular activities, from spiritual awareness to their athletic talents, students at Oakland Catholic have proven that with their determination and hard work, they can accomplish any task. Imagine the possibilities if they had the resources and facilities to match their abilities. Together we can make Oakland Catholic’s physical environment as enlightening and empowering as its intellectual and spiritual atmosphere.
