OC Uniform Code
The dignity of each student, her personal, intellectual, and spiritual formation is of the utmost importance at Oakland Catholic. The dress code exists to help maintain and foster this intention and focus. Students are expected to be in complete uniform when homeroom starts at 7:50am.
The basic uniform includes a uniform skirt or uniform khakis, a white banded polo or oxford shirt, a navy blue uniform sweater or blazer, solid grey or solid navy knee socks, opaque grey or navy tights, or solid white crew socks in August, September, May, and June. Shoes must be solid color in dark brown,black, or navy leather. Specifics on the uniform pieces appears below.
Blazers
Navy blue blazer (optional) may be worn with skirt or khakis.
Shirts
- White, button-down oxford-collared shirt in long or short sleeves.
- White uniform polo with school crest and banded bottom in long or short sleeves.
- White turtleneck may only be worn under polo or oxford shirt.
- Only plain white shirts may be worn underneath uniform shirts; no colors, designs, or words may be on the shirt.
Shoes
Solid color leather shoes that are below the ankle and are non-athletic in appearance and style may be worn. Dark brown (no tan), black, or navy leather is acceptable. No open-toed or backless shoes are permitted. Clogs are NOT permitted. No stripes or designs are to appear on the shoes. Heels should be of reasonable height.
Skirts
- Solid grey, double-pleated skirt from Campus Outfitters.
- Wool plaid, double-pleated skirt from Campus Outfitters.
(Either skirt may be worn all school year.)
Skirts are to be hemmed no shorter than three inches above the knee and worn at that length. Please allow for growth over four years.
Slacks
- Khaki, flat-front pants purchased from Campus Outfitters only. No other slacks will be permitted.
Socks
Knee socks in solid grey or navy are permitted. No patterned socks may be worn. Tights (not panty hose) in solide grey or solid navy are permitted. Solid white crew socks – no designs or emblems – 2 inches or more above the ankle are permitted in August, September, May, and June.
Sweaters

Not to be Worn
- High heeled shoes that constitute a safety hazard
- Sandals, open-toed shoes, or athletic shoes of any kind
- Hats, head or neck scarves, or any head covering
- Boxers longer than skirt length
- Necklaces (except a simple chain or Kairos necklace)
- Any socks below the ankle - face piercing, including,but not limited to nose, lips, tongue, eyebrows
- Jewelry with metal studs or spikes
- Body piercing is to be visible in the ears only
- Visible tatoos will not be tolerated
- Sweatshirts of any kind are not permitted when in uniform
- Hair of unnatural color - writing or doodling on hands or any other body part
