Acting Principal

Nicole Powell 

As Acting Principal, Nikki mines her fourteen years of education experience daily. Nikki is originally from Youngstown, Ohio and a proud product of Catholic education attending from elementary school to graduate school. She attended an all-women's college, Saint Mary's which is what fueled her passion for all-girls education and what ultimately drew Nikki to Oakland Catholic High School. Nikki attended John Carroll University where she earned her Masters in Education and Education Specialist Degree. She is also a Certified School Psychologist which allows her to connect with students and offer sound advice, guidance, and care. Nikki also holds her Administrative II Principal PK-12 certification. 

In her spare time, Nikki is a proud Big Sister with the Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh. She resides in the North Side of Pittsburgh with her husband Robert. They were married at St. Peter's Church, part of the Christ our Savior Parish and welcomed a daughter in January 2021 (OC class of 2039!) Nikki is also a yoga enthusiast and loves sharing the practice with faculty/staff and students. You can often find her leading CCW sessions or faculty/staff sessions from her yoga mat.

Through her leadership, Nikki aims to enrich the strong, supportive, and collaborative culture among the faculty and staff, and to foster the growth of Oakland Catholic High School, its faith tradition and its lasting impression on the greater community.
