taken from a variety of sources. Latin One Latin One introduces the student to
the world and language of the Roman people.
Students begin to read Latin with understanding and confidence,
develop some insights into life during the early Empire, sharpen and improve
English skills, and increase and enrich their English vocabulary. Students also participate in the National
Latin Exam. Honors Latin Two Honors Latin Two continues and
expands the objectives of the first level course. Students continue to read
Latin with understanding and confidence, develop more insights into life
during the early Empire, sharpen and improve both their English language
skills and vocabulary recognition.
Projects include making a mosaic and illustrating a hero story from
mythology. Students again participate
in the National Latin Exam. Honors Latin Three Honors Latin Three completes the
introduction of the Latin grammar and vocabulary necessary for reading with
confidence short, authentic selections from the works of Plautus, Catullus,
Pliny, Martial, and Cicero. Projects include making Roman theater masks and
exploring important moments in Roman history. Honors Latin Four In conjunction with AP Latin, this
