Forte is the annual art/literary publication of Oakland Catholic. Join our staff and help with design, layout, and submissions, Meeting are in Room 103, after school on Tuesday, September 7 and Tuesday, September 21.
ATTENTION – Freshmen running for student council Please obtain forms to run for Student Council class office or senator from Mrs. Benedik in Room G11. These forms are due back to Mrs. Benedik by Wednesday, September 15. All freshmen are welcome to run!
The Driver’s Education class information for the Fall Session can be obtained in the Main Office. We need 25 students enrolled to have the class. Students must sign up in the Main Office. The class is held on Thursdays from 2:30pm to 5:30pm for ten weeks beginning on September 9, 2010. Any questions, please see Mrs. Ceponis in the Main Office.
Forensics First meeting is Wednesday, September 8th immediately after school in Room 215. New members are welcome!
Forte will meet on Tuesday, September 7 and Tuesday, September 21. Old and New members encouraged to attend. Meeting is in Room 103, after school.
Library The library will be open in the mornings (7:00 – 7:40) beginning on Tuesday, September 7.
Important Meeting All students interested in being part of Campus Ministry this year are invited to attend a joint meeting of student council and Campus Ministry on Wednesday, September 8 in the lecture hall at 2:45 PM.

Congratulations, Volleyball team! The volleyball team defeated Greensburg Central Catholic with a score of 3-0. The eagles next game is Tuesday September 7th at Baldwin.
Cheerleading Missed tryouts? Interested in a competition style cheerleading squad? No experience necessary! OC Cheerleading Open Gym September 9th, 2010 5pm-7pm Please wear athletic attire.
Student Council iPad Raffle! 3 tickets- $1 10 tickets- $3 20 tickets- $5 Drawing at the end of the Opening Picnic! Tickets sold at lunch and day of Picnic!
OC Bookstore The OC Bookstore will be open before school and after school this week. Anyone interested in working the bookstore this year should see Ms. Decker in J102 and plan to attend a brief meeting after school at the bookstore on Friday September 3rd.
Student Council Our first meeting of the year will be held on Weds. Sept 8 at 2:45 PM in the presentation room. All members are expected to attend.

Opening School Liturgy Thursday, September 2, 1:00pm
Library Students are reminded that they must have a pass from their teachers when they come to the library. One pass per student.
Library Copier There is a 10 cent charge per page printed from either a library computer or the library photocopy machine. There will be no credit. Thank you for your cooperation.
Athletic Events The Volleyball team has a scrimmage this evening at Greensburg Central Catholic. The Varsity tennis team has a game at Baldwin. Good Luck teams.
