Sacred Heart High School, Class of ’67, It has been over 40 years since we graduated from Sacred Heart High School and most of us haven’t seen each other in all those years! Well, I guess it is that big 60th birthday that is fast approaching most of us next year that had us, Karen Stetter Thomas and Mary Lou Sands Datillo getting a little nostalgic for the “good-old days” of high school. (Yes, we are still friends after reconnecting over a year ago!) Since we haven’t had a reunion in 30 years we thought it might be nice to get as many of the Class of ‘67 together as we could and have a joint 60th Birthday party. We have emailed those classmates that we have email addresses for, and they all responded in favor of a party. Please email either one of us if you are interested. Or call Karen at 412-678-2195. If you have kept in contact with friends from our class, forward this information to them. We are hoping to have the celebration in the Spring! We hope this sounds like fun to all of you. Oakland Catholic High School, Class of ’93. Members of the Oakland Catholic High School Class of 1993 recently celebrated their 15-Year Reunion. Over 20 classmates gathered at More’ Restaurant on Friday, November 28th for a night of dinner, drinks, and catching up with old friends. Being the very first freshman class to attend the school, these ladies shared memories and stories about the “early years” of OCHS all night long. They are already looking forward to celebrating their 20th Class Reunion in 2013!

Our Lady of Mercy Academy, Class of ’78, held its 30th reunion on October 4, 2008. Ten students and their guests gathered for drinks and dinner at The Waldorf School in Pittsburgh. Attendees included Heather Donnelly, Joanne Foerster, Dina Ignelzi, Karen Kamphouse, Diane Kashlak, Patti Lovre, Lydia McShane, Roberta Sunstein, Ellen Tuite and Veronica Vercellotti. The classmates reminisced about their years at OLOMA as they poured through photos, yearbooks and other OLOMA memorabilia. The group also enjoyed a few laughs as they played a game to match the name of a classmate with a little known fact or significant accomplishment which that classmate had achieved during the last 30 years. A wonderful time was had by all! Many thanks to Heather Annaloro and Lydia McShane for organizing the event.

Sacred Heart High School

Sacred Heart High School, Class of ’58, met for a 50 year reunion Mass at Sacred Heart Church, then enjoyed a great lunch at Storms Restaurant, on 4th Ave, in Pittsburgh, where everyone caught up on ole’ times. It was a most enjoyable time, and we look forward to the next one, perhaps in a year or two. Just a simple lunch, call Stephanie next year for details. If you missed it, you missed a marvelous reunion.

Sacred Heart High School, Class of ’68. The reunion weekend started on Friday, October 17 at the Sheraton Station Square Lobby. We had a meet & greet in the lobby/bar area. This was not an RSVP event, so we did not know how many women would show up. Classmates came in from across the US, and a classmate who is a missionary in Bolivia was able to attend! We had about 50 classmates attend the meet and greet! It was non-stop talking until about 1 a.m. The next evening, Saturday, was our Dinner Buffet, also at the Sheraton. Crazy, non-stop dancing and laughter from 8 until 11. We closed the banquet room at midnight, then moved to the bar/lobby area, which we closed at 2 a.m.(still talking!) On Sunday, we attended 11:30 Mass at Sacred Heart, followed by brunch in the old school cafeteria. We served delicious box lunches from Whole Foods! We had 32 in attendance for this event, and again–non stop chatter. The women were truly happy to see each other, and seemed to enjoy a wonderful weekend. Sister Lynn at Sacred Heart was so generous in allowing us to use the cafeteria. It brought back so many memories. The women loved it! Additionally, Sister Patrice who taught us at SHHS stopped in on Saturday to say hello to everyone, and attended Mass with us on Sunday. It was a memorable weekend.

St. Paul Cathedral High School

St. Paul Cathedral, Class of ’58. On September 13, 2008 St. Paul Cathedral High School Class of 1958 celebrated their 50th year reunion at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association. We had a wonderful turnout. Thirty eight women attended the luncheon, many coming from out of state–CA, NC, SC, GA, IN, FL. We had 81 girls in our graduating class, 14 are deceased, 5 we can’t locate. Sixty two invitations were sent out and only 7 didn’t reply. We gathered in the Oakland room at the PAA and a CD of our graduation pictures along with photos of the basketball team, picnics, and other occasions was projected on the wall as we greeted one another. Favors were truffles from Mon Ami Chocolates in the Strip along with pens donated by Oakland Catholic Alumnae office. The souvenir booklet contained addresses of our classmates along with a few memorable photos. Everyone enjoyed seeing classmates, especially those who hadn’t attended the last few reunions. There were a lot of laughs. 1958 is a great class and it is fun to get together, renew friendships, and remember good times at CHS.

St. Paul Cathedral, Class of ’88, Well, it took 20 years to get together but we finally did it! Our reunion was a success, gathering classmates from near and far and helping old friends reconnect. The soiree was held at Alexander’s in Bloomfield, with everyone looking their most fabulous. A fun and memorable evening was had by all. A trip down memory lane by way of a photo collage, school memorabilia, and yearbooks helped set the tone for the evening. Many thanks to Ms. Newlin for leading the meal prayer, Mrs. Carol Sciulli for creating and donating such lovely raffle baskets, and Carolyn Senoski’s husband for donating concert tickets. Looking forward to many more future reunions to come (25th anyone?) and hopefully a lot more classmates. We missed you.
