8th Grade Visitation Day

This day is designed to introduce students to OC and high school life. Over 400 girls participate in a mini-day filled with demonstrations by our outstanding faculty, presentations by our students in the OC chat rooms, and lunch with fellow 8th graders from the Pittsburgh Area. This day is for 8th grade students only. Please call to make a reservation 412-682-6633 x221.

Open House

Come tour our campus, meet our students, talk to our teachers, and discover why Oakland Catholic is the best option for your high school experience! This day is designed to provide a wealth of information to prospective families and their daughters. Tours are conducted throughout the afternoon, but we recommend you arrive earlier rather than later in order to have enough time to adequately acquaint yourself with the academic departments, the extracurricular offerings, the financial aid process, the Administration, and OC students themselves.

Incoming Freshmen Scholarship Entrance Exam

Complete the Pre-Registration form and mail along with the $10 registration fee by Monday, November 2nd, 2009.

Arrival on test date: 8:00 am
Test begins: 8:30 am
Registration Fee - $10

Scores will be used for acceptance into OC, placement in classes, and eligibility for academic scholarships.

November - December, 2008

Applications should be mailed to OCHS.

December, 2008 or January, 2009

Test results will be mailed to students and principals.
Recommendations will be requested from the eighth grade sending school.

January, 2009 to February, 2009

Notification letters and course descriptions will be mailed to applicants at the end of January or early February. Semi-Finalists in the OC Scholarship Competition will receive notification of their standing at this time or shortly after. Those students who qualify for invitation to the Joan of Arc Society of Scholars will receive notice of this honor under separate cover during the month of February.

If a candidate is accepted and agrees with the course recommendations, the Class Registration form and $250 non-refundable registration fee may be mailed to Oakland Catholic

Accepted candidates may register in person at Oakland Catholic from 8:30 am - Noon.
$250 non-refundable registration fee is due.
The uniform company will be present that day to take measurements and assist in uniform purchases. A minimum deposit of $75 is required for any uniform orders. The uniform company accepts cash, checks, or credit cards. The OC Bookstore will also be open on this day. The OC Bookstore accepts cash or personal checks.

February 15 - March 13, 2009

Financial Aid Application PSAS (Private School Aid Service) forms for Catholic students due to PSAS for the 2009-2010 school year.

Note: This is a firm deadline. Applying after March 13th may cause delay in notification or no funds remaining.
